These Two Mad Minis Could Soon Be On The Roads
British carmaker Mini may soon bring the Countryman and Superleggera Vision concepts into production thanks to some rather positive feedback.
According to Autocar UK, the Rocketman Concept which was first unveiled in 2011 could make it into production as a fully electric car while the Superleggera Vision concept from 2014 could make its way into production form as a rival for the Mazda MX-5.
Speaking to Autocar about the 3.2-metre long Rocketman, Mini product chief Ralph Mahler stated that the Rocketman "is inspiring us as of today, especially as an EV in the future."
Speaking about the Superleggera concept, Mahler stated that the car was the second concept that was currently inspiring his brand and that Mini had received very positive feedback about the concept.
It is not known when Mini will bring either car into production but the direction in which the company is headed should be revealed when Mini unveils a new concept car as part of the Centenary celebrations of its parent company BMW.
