The 2024 Hyundai Creta has undergone a significant design overhaul, both inside and out. The controversial exterior design of the 2020 model has been replaced with a more squared-off and upright look, inspired by the Hyundai Palisade SUV. The front end features a chunky rectangular grille with LED lighting that culminates in inverted L-shaped Daytime Running Lights. The headlights are stacked lower on the front bumper. The sides of the car remain mostly unchanged, but the new alloy wheels are a welcome update. The rear end of the car has also been redesigned, with the rounded look of the previous model replaced by a flatter and more square design. The connected taillights mimic the LED DRL setup at the front, and the bumper features more cladding. Moving inside the new Creta, the dashboard has been completely redesigned. It now integrates a twin 10.25-inch display setup for the infotainment system and instrumentation. The touchscreen infotainment system comes connected to a premium Bose audio setup. The cabin features a dual-tone theme with soft-touch materials in many places, giving it a more premium feel. Other features include ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, and wireless phone charging.

The new Hyundai Creta offers three engine options: A new 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine that produces 158bhp and 252Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 7-speed DCT gearbox. A 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 113bhp and 144Nm of torque. This engine can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. A 1.5-liter turbodiesel engine that produces 114bhp and 250Nm of torque. This engine can be paired with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. We only had the opportunity to drive the turbodiesel with the 6-speed automatic during our time with the car. The engine is smooth and refined, and it provides good mid-range grunt. The suspension setup has been tweaked slightly to provide better handling without sacrificing ride quality. The steering weighs up nicely at higher speeds, and the brakes provide excellent bite. The new Creta also comes with Level 2 ADAS features, which include Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Blind-spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, and Lane Departure Warning. However, we found the system to be a bit too aggressive, and we ended up switching it off.

The new 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine is claimed to deliver a mileage of 18.4km/l. The 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine is claimed to deliver a mileage of around 16-18km/l, depending on the transmission. The 1.5-liter turbodiesel engine is claimed to deliver a mileage of around 18-20km/l, depending on the transmission.

The new Hyundai Creta comes loaded with features, including a twin 10.25-inch display setup for infotainment and instrumentation, a Bose premium audio system, ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging, a panoramic sunroof, six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX child mounts, rear parking sensors, hill-start assist, and Level 2 ADAS (on top variants).
